Valentine's Day

This year's Valentine's Day was definitely my favorite one so far! Matt took me to a wonderful resturant, Las Brisas. It is basically a Mexican Steakhouse. Perfect for us, since he loves steak, and I don't, and I love Mexican food, and he doesn't. It was a wonderful evening. :)

The Beautiful Sunset on the way to dinner at Las Brisas.

An old picture of us, because I don't like any from that night.

Valentine's Decorations and Flowers. :)

Beautiful Tulips!

Unfortunately, I was too excited about digging into my Valentine's present to make sure that the camera was on autofocus when taking the pictures. It was so pretty though!!

Julia's choir at Seven Lakes High School was invited to sing at the Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio during February. It was such an honor and an amazing thing for her this early in her career! We are all so proud of her!

Jordan, Mom, Dad, and I made the trip to San Antonio to be able to watch her choir perform. They did a wonderful job!

Matt's Baptism

As some of you know, on February 7 my boyfriend, Matt Tovar was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Here are a few pictures from that wonderful day. :)

Matt and Me
Matt and his Grandma Mary. His mom's mom came to the baptism. She lives just 30 minutes outside Lubbock. We were so happy she was able to come!

Matt and I with Elder Pugh, Elder Clark, Elder Bringhurst, and Elder Randall. These guys and one more, Elder Shumway are all the Elders who have been teaching him for the past few months.

These three, Elder Bringhurst, Elder Pugh, and Elder Randall were all three companions. Elder Pugh went home from his mission four days later, Matt was the last baptism of his mission. We miss him!

Luckily my Mom was able to make it for the weekend! She and I sang I Stand All Amazed at the baptism.

It was a wonderful day! I'm so excited for him!

Summer's Almost Over?

Here is somewhat of an overview of my summer. It has been great and too fast and I can't believe it's almost over!

I got a job at Celebrity Cafe and Bakery at the Harbor in Rockwall, and have spent a great deal of my summer inside this store! It's a great job though! The people I work with are great. I am a cashier and will come back to work here at Christmas time. I love it! :)

Whenever Chrystal was in town we always spent time together, but she spent the majority of the summer in Lubbock this year.

When Julia and Jordan were in town, I went to a couple of Braves games with them and Jordan's family and parts of our family. It was fun! :)

My boyfriend, Matt and Me

Marshall, Jennifer, and Dad

These sweet boys have also been a big part of my summer.

Taylor will be five in about a week, I can't believe he is getting so old and big!

Marcus turned one in March, and is bigger every time I see him!

Aren't they both just so adorable?

I spent the Fourth of July with Chrystal and Matt.

We tried to watch the Firewheel fireworks from a parking lot in Sachse, and didn't end up getting to see much at all, so we entertained ourselves by taking pictures. Here a just a couple of them. :)

Now, I only have a week left of work, and then I'm going to pack everything up and move back to Lubbock. This year I will be living in an apartment with my friends Chrystal, Andi, and Melanie. It should be a lot of fun. I'm moving in on August 11th and I can't wait to start my sophomore year at Texas Tech. :)

Birthday!

I turned nineteen a couple of weeks ago, and Julia came and visited me for the weekend! =] It was very exciting. She was in Lubbock from Saturday to Monday and we had a good time driving around campus and the city, going to the movies, seeing my apartments for next year, going to church, and going to choir and out to eat. It was great to have her there and show her my life in Lubbock.

Julia and Me.

My friends made March 3 a special day. They all came and saw me soon after it turned midnight to wish me a happy birthday. Later in the day, we went out to eat, and they had decorated and cleaned my room and bought me a cake. Then they were all waiting for me and surprised me in the room It was cute.

Also, I woke up to a world of snow on March 3! It was so fun to have snow on my birthday. It was a great day. Thank you all for your contributions to the day and my birthday. =]
