Marcus' Birthday Party!

Marcus turned seven during spring break so we got to go play with him at Shenaniganz! Belton was mesmerized while walking around in the video game area. And he LOVED the carousel. (Despite his facial expressions in these pictures, he really did!)

Some of us played laser tag and then it was time to go bowling! Once Belton realized he could play too, he thought bowing was the best thing ever. Except of course, when it wasn't his turn!
He got to push the ball and he loved watching it go down the lane. Then he would run and go to get another ball.
Happy Birthday Marcus! Thanks for letting us come and celebrate with you!!

Spring Break

We had a fun Spring Break!
Kind of funny...right? It's not like either Belton or I are in school? But we got to so much extra stuff with our family members who weren't in school!
Belton and I went to a RHS baseball game. He played with lots and lots of baseballs.
I love his expression in this one!

Sick-o

Belton was sick a couple of weeks ago which resulted in watching a lot of Curious George...
 Sleeping and looking pitiful...
 Lots of lounging with daddy...

And some halfhearted smiles when I asked the poor kid to smile for me...he's a sweet boy!
We're so glad he's feeling better now!!

Twenty-Five!

I enjoyed a fantastic birthday with my two favorite boys! Matt took the day off so it wouldn't be just another day.
We had planned on going to the Perot Museum, but it was icy outside, so they were closed for the day! Bummer! Instead, I slept in and we went to Pappasito's for lunch. Yum! Belton was very serious about his queso!
Belton was too distracted by looking at the water in the fountain to look at the camera. But I still love this picture!
We did a little shopping and tried to let Belton play in the play area at the mall, but he was overwhelmed by all of the kids. No school from a snow day + super cold outside = too many kids in the mall play area for a toddler!

Matt (and Belton) decided to get me 25 little gifts since I was turning a QUARTER of a century old! I had fun opening presents all day!
One of my favorite gifts are these new flip flops! Fun!
Matt even made me a cake!
Then my sweet friend Katie watched Belton for us so that we could go to dinner and a movie. We had a great time! Thanks, Katie!!
The next weekend, we celebrated with my family. We had the traditional birthday meal, gifts and then cake and ice cream. Look at my pretty cake! :-)
I am feeling very blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life right now. I had a great birthday!!

Another Fun-Filled Week!

Last weekend, Matt and I went to a banquet with some of his co-workers! The event was kind of boring, but it was fun to dress up!

Belton in a sweet new outfit from Chrystal and Erik.
This was my view on Sunday afternoon. Sleeping Daddy with a cuddly baby and a pile of toys!

Matt's cousin Tate and his wife Jessica have a little girl, Abigail who Belton got to play with this week. Her parents were out of town for Tate to have surgery at MD Anderson, so we went to keep her company.
They gave each other several sweet hugs when we were leaving! (Belton "hugs" by laying his head on you.)
As we walked out the door, Belton and Abigail continued to wave and wave at each other. It was so sweet!
This little boy really enjoys climbing around on Mommy and Daddy's bed lately!
This is his newest thing: to flip over into the fetal position anytime that we want to change his diaper or get him dressed. It's frustrating and amusing all at the same time!! Crazy baby!
We went to the Perot Museum with the Weldy's. Belton had a blast running around and exploring!
And finally, I LOVE walking in the room to this face in the mornings! Some days he puts himself in the far corner of the crib to get away from me. (I guess he just wants to play in there more?) But most days, he jumps around in his crib and shows me his blankets and things before he sweetly asks me to pick him up!
 We love him!

The Cowtown

When Oncor said they would pay for their employees to run in the Cowtown in Fort Worth, Matt quickly jumped on board! He ran the 5k on a chilly Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago. My friend Lydia got a great spot right by the finish line and caught this awesome picture of Matt going under the finish line!
He was the in 22nd place for his age bracket. Not bad, in my opinion, for a guy who "trained" like three times and was sick during the week leading up to the race!

Fun at the Park!

We went to the park one afternoon in College Station. This was our first time to the park since Belton can actually climb and do things. He had a blast!

He started walking down the slide, sat down and eventually ended up head first on his stomach. After a few tries down the slide, he just climbed up and down the stairs! Silly kid!
 He loved the swings though!
