This morning I got up and went to church! It was interesting to say the least...all in Spanish, of course. But, it was neat. There was a girl there who is a student at UNC who spent the semester here in Sevilla, Jesse. She translated for me, for the most part. It was very helpful! I was so glad she was there, and there was someone that I could talk to in English! It was a fun, different experience.
I tried to get a picture with the sign and me, but it was too high so I couldn't!
After church, the girls who went to Italy got back, so we just caught up and everything this evening, it's been a nice Sunday.
Did you have a hard time finding it? I'm glad you got to go! - And is that girl going to be there the next few weeks, too?! That's nice that she was able to translate for you!
ReplyDeleteWell, I went looking for the church on Friday, because I was afriad it would be hard to find. It was definitely hidden. That sign is the only thing that looked remotely familiar. It's just a part of a strip center. (Those are bigger here, not really what you're imagining from home...) And there's a big gate in front of the door. I found it eventually!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Jesse will be here for the next couple of weeks, she flys to Italy on the same day that I fly to Germany. But, I don't know if I'll be here in Sevilla on the upcoming Sundays because of the trips we're taking. But we'll see!
I am glad you found the tile in the plaza. I will make sure Dad looks at this, but he's asleep right now. Keep exploring and having fun and making good grades!!! Love you!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the time on that comment I made and it's not right. It is really after 10 pm here, and that says it's 8:11! That's not Spain time, either....????
