Okay, so this post is two days late because I wanted to be able to include Belton's stats from his doctors appointment and it was today!
Four Months Stats
Weight: 15 pounds, 6 ounces, 75th percentile
Length: 25.75 inches, 75th percentile
Head: 16.75 inches, 55th percentile
Belton is four months old! It's so hard to believe. Time passes so quickly!! He has grown TONS this month! He is turning into a little chunk! He is such a happy guy, especially when I go get him out of his rock n play in the mornings when he wakes up! Belton still loves talking and cooing back and forth with us. He has added some new sounds to his repertoire which is so fun! We just switched him from his 0-3 month clothes to his 3-6 month clothes. He always outgrows his clothes by length first; he's a long little guy! He is done with his size one diapers too. We are just using up the ones we have left and then he will graduate to size two!
For most nights of the last couple of weeks, Belton has consistently slept 10-12 hours a night! It has been AMAZING! Every morning I tell him what a good sleeper he has been and how happy that makes Mom and Dad! :-) Lately he goes to sleep between 10 and 12 at night and wakes up between 8 and 10 in the morning. Belton is still sleeping in his rock n play at night. We are putting off the switch to the crib because we don't want to mess up the good thing we've got going! Naps are still a little more difficult though. He doesn't love sleeping in the moby as much as he used to, ever since we had to switch him out of the newborn hug hold. He just isn't as snuggled up, I think so he doesn't immediately go to sleep like he used to in the moby. He will sleep in our arms and we put him in the rock n play, crib or swing sometimes. But his naps are rarely longer than 45 minutes. And usually once he has been awake for an hour and a half, he is ready to go back to sleep!
Belton now eats 5-6 ounces of formula (thanks to my palindromic rheumatism) 5-6 times a day. He took the switch from breastfeeding to formula in a bottle very well and I am super grateful for that. It was hard for me to give up nursing, so I'm glad it didn't seem to make Belton too sad. He is generally a very good eater, as you can see! :-)
This one just kills me. <3
Belton's favorite things to do right now include playing on his play mat, being sung to (This still really calms him down when he is upset.), talking, trying to sit up (He has started using his stomach muscles and surprising us by pulling himself up a little bit!), sitting in his bumbo, watching Mom and Dad be silly, having his feet tickled or kissed, playing patty-cake, being held and snuggled, playing with many different toys, reading books (He has started touching them and helping turn the pages!), looking at himself in the mirror, running, lounging on the boppy, swinging, trying to watch the TV (Although I am pretty adamant about him not watching much it at this age!), playing airplane, and playing with the toys hanging off his car seat.
He loves putting his hands, toys, our fingers, anything he can get into his mouth!!
This month he has really started laughing! In this picture he is happy because Grandmom is kissing his tummy, which is one of the best ways to get him to laugh!
Belton is getting better at tummy time every day! He still hasn't rolled over again since his two random times a couple of months ago, but we think he's getting closer! Today, he also started a little rolling motion while he was on his back. Our little guy is changing every day!
Belton did well at his doctors appointment! He didn't like his shots, of course, but other than that he got a glowing report! We are so blessed to have a healthy little guy! We sure do love him!!
I love that one picture, too! He looks just like Matt!
