So on the Thursday before Peter and Kelly's wedding, we had a big crazy storm come through our area. It knocked some people out of power for several days! My parent's house was right in the middle of the storm and they had a bit of destruction!
My mom said that as she left the house early on Thursday afternoon, she thought, "wow, our yard has never looked better in the 25 years we've lived here!" Then...she came home to this and thought, "this yard has never looked worse in the 25 years we've lived here!"
So, we rallied the troops and all went over there on Friday to pitch in and help with the clean up!
51 of the 500 lights that we had strung the Saturday before broke. Several of the strands of lights were on the ground and one was in the pool! Peter had to be inventive to figure out how to replace a light bulb right over the middle of the pool!
The Coopers showed up later in the day, and Belton had a blast with Claire!
All the sweet kiddos had fun things to ride around on!
