Belton's First Haircut

Belton had his first haircut the other day. He had some crazy and adorable curls and his hair was just totally unmanageable. But I loved his sweet curls and was sad to see them go! Luckily, I got all of my crying out the day before his haircut- instead of during it.

BEFORE:

We went to a kid's salon that had lots of great puzzles and toys to keep the kids entertained. Belton wasn't thrilled, but he did okay!

I think mostly he just didn't understand why this lady was all up in his business!

He was a little happier when we pulled out Curious George!
  AFTER:
  We love this sweet boy!!

Sleepy

Belton used to sleep in our arms all the time. It was the only way he would sleep! Now, 17.5 months later...I don't ever expect him to sleep with me. But at church the other day, he did. He just passed out in my arms while we were sitting in the back of primary (the children's class at church) watching Matt participate in the presentation that day.
Check out those eyelashes!!!
I love him. <3

Perot Museum

Grandmom and Granddad took Marcus to the Perot Museum during Spring Break...and Belton and I got to tag along!
He loved playing in the "wa-wa"!
And he also made some crazy faces behind the wheel!
Look out!
Crazy baby driver!

Marcus' Birthday Party!

Marcus turned seven during spring break so we got to go play with him at Shenaniganz! Belton was mesmerized while walking around in the video game area. And he LOVED the carousel. (Despite his facial expressions in these pictures, he really did!)

Some of us played laser tag and then it was time to go bowling! Once Belton realized he could play too, he thought bowing was the best thing ever. Except of course, when it wasn't his turn!
He got to push the ball and he loved watching it go down the lane. Then he would run and go to get another ball.
Happy Birthday Marcus! Thanks for letting us come and celebrate with you!!

Spring Break

We had a fun Spring Break!
Kind of funny...right? It's not like either Belton or I are in school? But we got to so much extra stuff with our family members who weren't in school!
Belton and I went to a RHS baseball game. He played with lots and lots of baseballs.
I love his expression in this one!

Sick-o

Belton was sick a couple of weeks ago which resulted in watching a lot of Curious George...
 Sleeping and looking pitiful...
 Lots of lounging with daddy...

And some halfhearted smiles when I asked the poor kid to smile for me...he's a sweet boy!
We're so glad he's feeling better now!!

Twenty-Five!

I enjoyed a fantastic birthday with my two favorite boys! Matt took the day off so it wouldn't be just another day.
We had planned on going to the Perot Museum, but it was icy outside, so they were closed for the day! Bummer! Instead, I slept in and we went to Pappasito's for lunch. Yum! Belton was very serious about his queso!
Belton was too distracted by looking at the water in the fountain to look at the camera. But I still love this picture!
We did a little shopping and tried to let Belton play in the play area at the mall, but he was overwhelmed by all of the kids. No school from a snow day + super cold outside = too many kids in the mall play area for a toddler!

Matt (and Belton) decided to get me 25 little gifts since I was turning a QUARTER of a century old! I had fun opening presents all day!
One of my favorite gifts are these new flip flops! Fun!
Matt even made me a cake!
Then my sweet friend Katie watched Belton for us so that we could go to dinner and a movie. We had a great time! Thanks, Katie!!
The next weekend, we celebrated with my family. We had the traditional birthday meal, gifts and then cake and ice cream. Look at my pretty cake! :-)
I am feeling very blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life right now. I had a great birthday!!
