Lunch with Matt

One of my best friends from high school, Matt Tolbert is in town from New York this week. Mom, Belton and I got to go to lunch with him! It was great to see him and get to catch up a little bit! Before we left, I made sure Matt and I got a picture!
We don't know when we'll see him again, since he is busy living his dream of being an actor in NYC! Maybe it'll be when we go see him in a show! :-)

iPhone January 2013

I apologize in advance....I know that most of you won't care about this at all. But since this is my way of record keeping for our family, I am going to include a whole bunch of phone pictures that I just want to have!

So, here's January 2013, in pictures.

Kicking!

Belton started kicking intentionally tonight! His little play gym plays music when the middle toy is pushed just right. He has never been able to get it to play consistently. But tonight, he figured out if he kicks it, he can get it to go! Belton kicked it over and over again and seems quite pleased with his discovery!

Angel

Once again, Matt called me in to the bathroom during bath time and said, "look, it's an angel!"
I wonder how many more of these posts I'll end up writing!

My Boys!

I love these two boys!!
(Hey Julia, do you think he's chunky yet? :))

Sitting and Playing..Again

Well, Matt was at it again tonight. Creatively helping Belton "sit on his own" so he can play with his toys from a new angle!
Belton loves looking at that octopus, too! It is one of his favorite toys! (And it was the first baby related purchase that Matt and I made!)
Of course, Matt got Belton to smile for these pictures too. Sweet boys!

Rubber Duckie, You're the One

Bath time has become a little bit more interactive lately, as Belton is getting older! He has started enjoying splashing around, as well as playing with his rubber duckie! :)

Abuela and Abuelo

We went to dinner for Grandma Nini/Abuela's birthday the other day.
I think it's so great that Belton will get to have a relationship with them as well as his other great-grandparents. I don't really remember mine, but I am one of the youngest grandchildren in my family. I am grateful that Belton will have these opportunities!

Superbaby!

Matt was giving Belton his bath the other day and called me in to the bathroom.
I walked in, saw this, and Matt said, "It's Superbaby and his cape!"
Oh, I can just imagine the fun these boys are going to have together as Belton grows!

Church

So far, church with Belton is still a great experience! I know it will get much more difficult once he is mobile and always wanting to be on the go. But for now, I want to remember how fun it is to take care of him during church, and how he is pretty much always quiet. But, he doesn't really like the organ! It often wakes him up!

Every time he smiles up at me like this,  my heart melts!

 And check out those eyelashes!!
