Chick-fil-A Super Hero Night!

As we were leaving Grandmom and Granddad's house to go home and see Matt, Alissa texted me to let me know that it was Super Hero Night at Chick-fil-A & Belton could get a free kids meal if he dressed like a super hero! I ran back into Mom and Dad's house and found this Superman cape that my mom made 35 years ago for Marshall. :-) It was perfect!! 

When we got there, I wanted to take Belton's picture so I asked him to stand in the corner so I could take his picture and this is what he did! (Think he's been in time out a little bit lately?!?!)

Fun at Grandmom and Granddad's House!

Kash and Belton had a blast the other day at Grandmom and Granddad's house during Aaron's piano lesson.

 Kash is so sweet with Belton!

 Belton also discovered this musical instrument at my parents house. He called it a trumpet. He noticed that I was going through some old high school music, said "music!" and carried it around with him. Then he proceeded to "read" the music and play his trumpet. He wouldn't play without looking at the music.

 Sweet, sweet, observant boy! <3

Three Generations

Urgent Care

While Chrystal and I were out shopping...Belton dove into his Thomas "tent house" and hit his forehead on the hinge for his closet door. It bled a lot (as head wounds do) and Matt and Erik doctored it up while Belton was screaming.

We, inexperience parents that we are, didn't really know if he needed more treatment or not. But since it was on his forehead and would be a noticeable place for a scar, we decided to play it safe and take him to urgent care and see what they had to say.

 Belton was definitely in pain and sad. But he was okay! They put a numbing cream on it and we waited (smart phone in hand) for 20 minutes for it to work.

Then the doctor came in, poured several different things on his cut and finally put some derma-bond glue on it. Belton screamed through all of that, poor guy. When it was all done- he was saying "GO HOME! ALL DONE!".

He's healing beautifully now and is just fine. But he added some excitement to our weekend!

More Birthday Fun

 We had a great day with the best friend family celebrating my birthday!

 We went to Abuelo's for lunch, Chrystal and I went and got pedicures and did some shopping until I got a call from Matt about Belton. After our trip to Urgent Care (see next post), we had a yummy dinner at home too!

Laura's 26th Birthday

 I had a wonderful birthday this year! It was so fun to celebrate with many family members and friends!

 My parents had us over for dinner and cake, of course!

 Belton went shopping with Matt and picked out some "blue flowers for Mama". He's a sweetie!

 Belton and Cole have a blast together.

 Alissa took us out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory on my birthday. Yum!

I got home, put Belton down for his nap and then there was a knock on the door. I was shocked to get these chocolate covered strawberries from my sweet in-laws!

Belton LOVED this balloon! I told him that it says "Happy Birthday" and every time he saw it for the next couple of weeks, he would say "Happy Birthday Mama!".

 I had a great birthday evening with my sweet family. We went to dinner and did some window shopping.

 Then we came home and played Mario. Belton was in heaven!

Snippets of Our Life

Belton's favorite thing to watch lately: Shrek the Musical (Broadway version). He LOVES this and dances to the songs all the time.

When Belton wakes up in the morning and from his nap, he stays in his crib for a while and looks at books. It is great! He is always excited to show me what he's been looking at when he calls for me to come get him!

When it's time for him to go to bed, he says night-night to whatever toys he's playing with and lays them down on their side to go to sleep.

 Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles. All day. Everyday.

Girls night out!

 Every single day Belton gets out of his bath and has Matt tie this bow around his neck. Then he runs out to see me and give me a hug and a kiss!

More Snow!

We have had so much fun this year with these snow days!

Since the snow melted, Belton looks in our backyard and says, "snow all gone" in a very disappointed voice!
