Family Christmas Fun Day: The Trains at Northpark

This year we started a new tradition called "Family Christmas Fun Day"! Matt took a random Wednesday off towards the beginning of December so that we could go do some fun Christmas things with Belton on a less-busy, less-crowded day! 

We got there right at ten when they opened and even waited outside the door for them to open up for the day. It was perfect. We got to see just about everything before it started getting really crowded in there.

 First stop- The Trains at Northpark!

 Belton had already been here with Grandma and Papaw...but he definitely didn't mind going back!

 I have no clue how many times he said "choo-choo!!!!" that day!

 This was my favorite part it's showing The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. So pretty!!

 And Matt had me take this picture of Cadillac Ranch for Hannah and Nathaniel. :) And I also love the windmills!

 And finally....if you look hard enough- you can see Thomas and Percy in this photo. Belton looooved watching those two go around and around!

Best Friend Family Fun!

We had a great day with the Garzas! We started out at The Cheesecake Factory for a yummy lunch to celebrate Chrystal's birthday.

Then we went to our house and spent the afternoon together...yay for the only picture of our family in front of our Christmas tree this year! 

 And in the evening, we went to Southlake to take pictures with Santa.

The pictures turned out great, and the Santa was great! But the people running everything were not so great. It got frustrating!

We were lucky to not have to wait long to get our pictures taken...so the kids were still happy at that point!

Southlake has a big beautiful Christmas tree, too!

Belton and Matt really, really love his crazy truck that we got for free. It cracks me up!

One of Belton's absolute favorite things to do lately...play in his "house"! He takes books and animals and blankets in there and has an absolute blast!

Ezra and Chrystal

 I enjoyed another day of snuggling sweet Ezra and hanging out with Chrystal. <3

My favorite photo of the day! We decided to be brave and take the kids to Walmart. Chrystal lives in Rowlett now, where I grew up. So we went to the same Walmart that we used to go to as teenagers...having random Walmart adventures! We were amused at how this was a totally different kind of Walmart adventure we were having...about ten years later!

Christmastime is Here

 Having a kid makes Christmastime so incredibly magical all over again. And it gets better and better the older he gets and more that he understands. 

I've loved starting new traditions and continuing old ones with my sweet boy this year.

Nothing warms my heart like seeing Belton point to a nativity and hearing him say "Baby Jesus..Mama Mary".

Countdown to Santa

 He was given this fun clock that plays a Christmas carol every hour. We loved it!

 We put this felt nativity up outside of his room.
